Veda 5 Ayurveda and Yoga Retreat, Rattapani Neelkanth Road Near Phool Chatti, Rishikesh is one such place. Rishikesh, also referred to as the ‘Yoga capital of the world ‘, is perfectly placed to practice yoga and focus on holistic wellness.Veda5 Rishikesh is not your regular wellness retreat. It’s a journey down a healthy lane, with Ayurvedic therapies, yoga, meditation, fitness, and recovery. Nestled amidst the greenery on top of a hill, a few kilometres from the main area of Rishikesh, it is a hidden gem. It’s the perfect place to detox, rejuvenate and pamper yourself. Location is great,2.9 km from Laxman Jhula and about 8 km from Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

Nearest airport, Jolly Grant International Airport, Dehradun, is connected to major Indian cities. If you are coming by air, it may take around 1 hour to reach Veda5. They can pick you up from the airport, the cost of which is included in your stay and wellness package. On arrival at Veda5 Rishikesh, guests are warmly greeted with a tilak and given a Rudraksha mala.

Located in the lap of nature, the property is spread over a large area with spacious rooms having all the modern amenities, making it a luxury stay. The resort was set up on the slope of the hill and hence had a few levels, due to which you always have good hill views, open spaces and fresh breeze around you. The rooms are tastefully done with sit-outs to enjoy the view and the peaceful environment.

It not only has a well-laid-out plan for you throughout your stay but also provides in-house wellness products. Different kinds of wellness packages, yoga layout, detox and de-stress packages, one is spoilt for choice to pamper themselves. The packages are curated according to your needs.Veda5 Retreat is built around a basic concept of promoting wellness and “Satvik” life, i.e. feeding the mind and body while nourishing thy soul. So the food they serve is also wholesome food for the soul. Flavours and the innovative way they present vegan food — it is fresh, organic, perfectly seasoned, and the best food for a visitor’s palate. Most of the vegetables and fruits are grown on their own farm.

They do arrange cooking classes too, which is a favourite amongst international guests. Yoga is a very important feature of the retreat. They offer proper yoga training and classes with guided meditation sessions. Yoga classes are given by very experienced tutors

Naturopathy, Panchkarma, Ayurvedic massages and spa, and Ayurvedic treatments are the highlights of the resort. The Ayurvedic doctors are very experienced; they listen to the guests patiently and then advise the treatment. Their signature Ayuryog Shodhan package is quite popular among the guests as it applies both for a short and long stay for rejuvenation. The yoga and meditation plan was very well balanced over the day. There’s a well-equipped and maintained activity hall where one can enjoy Table Tennis, Carrom, foosball, etc though you wouldn’t want to be indoors at all considering the view. The swimming pool offers a great view and is enjoyed especially by the kids. There is a great poolside herbal tea bar. Also, the herbal, detox, digestive and ayurvedic drinks are prepared and served. Sound meditation stays with you for a long.

To surprise their guests, they do arrange a few dinner games, which are quite fun, or a Gharwali dance night, or musicians playing folk music or old classic songs or sometimes just instrumental, which is so soothing while sitting in the middle of the mountains.  Attentive staff, great views, food for the soul with yoga and chants, great massage therapies.
